We are practicing in class

this is a test

T&T Conference

Last week-end I went to Tucson and listened to Tim Tyson share is vision of schools of the future. One thing I learned is that change is not easy, even for the visionaries. Change can happen faster if we can put technology in the hands of the kids. Problem how do we do that? How do we give up control of the classroom?

One idea Tim has was to teach kids to make movies and just let them play. Later you can teach them the process of planning their work and making a point. Start with short videos, 2 minutes max and make it a contest.

This process takes a long time. Perhaps the whole year. Once the kids were trained, they helped their teachers.

What suggestions do you have for educators today that will help make learning more meaningful and exciting for todays students? Post your idea or suggestion(s) here.
